Melvie Garcia has been in the industry for
over 20 years and has accumulated many customers,
as well as friendships, along the way. Getting
started at a beauty school in the Heights, she
first started her career at Foley's Hair Salon
in 1990. She left after a couple of years and
continued with her career at JCPenneys Hair Salon.
Her clientele grew fast and that's when Melvie
decided to start her own business, Melvie's Workshop,
inside of a location which rented space to hairstylist,
nail tech's, massage therapist and aestheticians.
She loved the independence of working for herself
and her clientele continued to grow. After several
great years at this location, she then dreamed
big and wanted to start her own day spa. With
the help of her supportive family, Cosa Bella
Salon & Day Spa was born.
Melvie hand picked several
other talented women to work at Cosa Bella and
now has a great and talented team by her side. Come
